The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is the highest performing university in Spain. It’s highly regarded for high quality of research and it works closely with local businesses and scientific centres in the most important industrial and technological areas in Europe.

UAB is renowned for the quality of its education and research, innovation, and international outlook. Located in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Valles), a metropolitan area of Barcelona 25 minutes from the city centre, the campus is recognised as a Campus of Excellence. Numerous services for international students are offered, including welcome days, trips, a mentor program and language tuition in both Catalan and Spanish.

Unique characteristics
UAB offers a full range of courses and its programs in Business Management and Administration, Economics, Primary Education and Tourism are offered fully in English. There is a high percentage of international students.

Barcelona is seaside city that is famous for its art and architecture, world-class dining – it’s here that molecular gastronomy took off – and its all night, seaside party scene. You can stroll the historic streets and botanic gardens, eat amazing tapas, enjoy a variety of sports on the Mediterranean and visit the numerous museums and galleries showcasing local masters such as Picasso, Miró and Dalí.

Subject Area/s: Arts and Social Sciences. At least 50% of units of study taken must be from the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology.
