The Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) is one of the oldest universities in the world, located in the French speaking part of Belgium. The alma mater of the likes of Erasmus and Vesalius, today it’s ranked one of the best in the world – especially in Economics - and welcomes students from more than 120 countries who benefit from its international and European networks.

Louvain-la-Neuve was purpose built to accommodate the Francophone faculties of KUL when they split from Leuven in the 1960s. With a predominantly student population and designed for university life, it’s easy to get around on foot and there’s plenty to do. A highlight is the Hergé Museum, where you’ll find some excellent Tin Tin memorabilia.
