A medium sized university where you’re more than likely to bump into professors and fellow students in the street, Otto-Friedrich Universität Bamberg is an internationally recognised research centre. It promotes internationalism and networking with other universities and research institutions. International guests are provided an extensive program of excursions and events to introduce them to German culture.
Unique characteristics
The university offers roughly 100 programs with a main focus on the Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration and Human Sciences. Its courses in psychology, economics and the social sciences are among the best in Germany.
Bamberg’s old city has UNESCO World Heritage status, but it’s a young city with plenty of students from all over the world. Bamberg is in the Regnitz valley and close to Switzerland. It offers numerous pubs, bars, clubs and cafes as well as Germany’s highest concentration of breweries.
