Kobe University, also known as Shindai, is a leading national university with a highly respected School of Law.

Kobe University comprises 14 graduate schools and 11 undergraduate faculties. The university welcomes overseas students, which accounted for a total of 1,108 students as of 2011. It also has 3,300 staff members, including professors, associate professors and administrative officials.

Unique Characteristics
Kobe University is known for its Graduate School of Law, which comprises two programs: The Professional Degree Program ("School of Law") and the Doctoral Program. The School of Law educates those who wish to become legal professionals. Kobe has relationships with universities worldwide.

Perched on a hillside, Kobe is one of Japan’s most attractive and cosmopolitan cities. It is a relatively small city that can be easily explored. Diverse neighborhoods and a sizeable expatriate population ensure that bars and restaurants cater for all tastes.
