Short-term programs - Summer Break (December – February)


Short-term Programs are an exciting way to offer an international experience during your USYD Degree.

Summer 2024- 2025 programs must take place in its entirety, 
during the University of Sydney end of year break (24 November 2024 - 23 February 2025).

Steps to Apply

Step 1: Watch the pre-recorded general information session.
Step 2: Attend a short-term information session or drop-in Q&A to find out more about the Short-term application process (incl. eligibility and academic approval process)
Step 3: Choose your program, click ‘Apply Now’ and complete the questionnaires inside your application. Ensure to click SUBMIT
Step 4: Submit an Academic Approval Request. Note: Various Academic Approval Period. Refer to each program details. Ensure you click SUBMIT before the cut-off date
Step 5: Submit your application


Academic Approval - you must apply by the 4 October 2024. Faculty Services (Mobility) guarantee your academic approval request will be processed before the start of your overseas program if you have applied before this date. For further information please refer to the academics tab in your chosen program.

Summer 2025 programs must take place 
in its entirety, during the University of Sydney end of year break (24 November 2024 - 23 February 2025).
 
Notes: Program application and payment deadlines vary by program. You can submit applications for up to two programs.

You are eligible to complete ONE program over University Break for a maximum approved credit limit of 12cp.

Programs are opened on a rolling basis. Continue to check the page to see if a program is available. If a program hasn't been confirmed by the host university or provider, it will be listed below as to be confirmed.

You can apply to an overseas short-term program during the upcoming semester break even if it is not listed on the Global Mobility Database. By registering your short-term program with Sydney Abroad, you will become part of a supported framework that provides you with advice about academic credit, eligible funding options, and pre-departure support.
