What better way to spend your mid-semester break than on a Polynesian Island in the South Pacific while earning credit for your University of Sydney nursing degree?

Students will spend 2 weeks working in community settings associated with Vaiola Hospital alongside local Tongan nurses and will be facilitated by a University of Sydney staff member. This placement will provide a unique insight into nursing and health care in the developing world.  Students will see at first hand the skills and knowledge of local healthcare professionals who work in environments where resources are limited.

Being immersed in the Tongan culture will allow students to gain invaluable professional and life skills, while experiencing the global health community in one of our closest neighbours.
