About

University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Year Established: 1920
Student population: 5,200

About
With an emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, collaborative research and social responsibility, the USC Marshall School of Business is ideally positioned to address the challenges of a rapidly changing business environment. The guiding philosophy – success demands an understanding of the inner workings of the global marketplace – has established USC Marshall as a leader among US business schools.

Highlights
With a strong commitment to diversity and a global mindset, more than 80 percent of undergraduate freshman and all full-time MBA students study outside the US while at USC Marshall. Students gain critical international perspectives as they explore the opportunities presented by cross-cultural collaboration. In addition, USC has more international students than any other US institution.

Unique characteristics
The innovative Marshall curriculum enhances academic flexibility for undergraduates while still maintaining a rigorous core business program, by allowing for customization to suit students' diverse backgrounds, interests and aspirations. The Marshall curriculum nurtures a global mindset by providing business students with meaningful cross-cultural experiences across campus or around the world. An affiliation with USC Marshall opens up a bold world of possibilities thanks to the powerful USC Marshall alumni network of over 70,000 graduates worldwide. Students studying at Marshall during the Spring will be able to access internship opportunities over the US summer following exchange.

Location
USC is centrally located just south of Downtown Los Angeles, a hub of fun, food, and activity. USC itself is has also become a cultural and entertainment center of Los Angeles, with crowds of over 100,000 for Trojan football games, Gala events at the Shrine, and The Los Angeles Times Book Fair. Studying in Los Angeles also provides ready access to industries defining the new business frontier: biotechnology, life sciences, media, entertainment, communications and healthcare.
