About
The University of Valladolid is one of the leading universities in Spain and one of Europe’s oldest. Together with the universities of Palencia, Salamanca and Lerida, it formed part of the great intellectual movement that developed in Europe in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Today it’s known for the quality of its education, prestigious research and cultural and sporting potential.

Highlights
The University has a range of libraries and extensive sporting facilities. Most courses are taught in Spanish and language classes are offered through the University’s language centre. The University has some fine historic buildings and a range of cultural activities including music and theatre.

Unique characteristics
The university has four campuses at Palencia, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid, in the region of Castilla y Leon. It offers a wide range courses across the fields of Science, Humanities, Engineering and Architecture, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Law.

Location
Valladolid is an attractive city which offers a gateway to northern Spain. It has a large student population and a number of historic monuments and museums. The region of Castile and Leon is the largest in the EU and, as its capital, Valladolid combines its historical past with modern progress and development. The region is famous for its wines and roast lamb.
