The Corvinus University of Budapest was formed from the merger of the well-established University of Economic Sciences of Budapest (Közgáz) and the University of Horticulture and Food Sciences, creating a leading research and education institution. Highly ranked and with very competitive entry, the University produces graduates who are in high demand from employers.
Corvinus University is known for its academic excellence and international and business networks. Its English-language business program ranks well. There is a wide range of interesting courses, offering the unique experience of working with Hungarian and international students and considering Hungarian and regional issues. The University is very student friendly and offers a range of services and organisations geared to international students.
Unique characteristics
The University offers programs in agricultural sciences, business administration, economics and social sciences. Courses are taught in Hungarian, English, French or German. There are nine accredited doctoral schools and specialised training programs are available. The University covers two campuses, Közgáz Campus and Buda Campus.
Budapest is the largest city in Hungary, a unique European country renowned for its hospitality. Divided by the Danube and considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest’s history goes back to the Roman Empire and it offers a large variety of historical buildings and architecture. Here you can enjoy hot springs and Turkish baths, Hungarian food and a vivid cultural life.
