Hochschule Koblenz, the University of Applied Sciences, formerly known as Fachhochschule Koblenz, is a relative young university that offers an international outlook and numerous collaborations with institutions throughout Europe and the United States. It is situated on a newly-built campus at the gateway of the Rhine in Western Germany.
Exchange students take classes with local students, offering a great insight into German education and culture and ensuring you’ll have a memorable experience. The University welcomes international students and lecturers for the value and inspiration they add to the academic environment.
Unique characteristics
With a new campus opened in 2009, the University offers many innovative courses of study including applied mathematics, architecture, mechanical engineering, computer sciences, IT, health and social services, medical technology and general engineering, logistics. The University has six faculties offering more than 40 degree courses.
Koblenz is situated by the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. Once a Roman stronghold, today it’s known as a jumping off point to the Rhine and the mountain ranges of the Hunsrück, the Eifel and the Westerwald.
