Highlights
Brick pathways connect century-old buildings with steel and glass structures. A bronze statue of the gryphon, the University’s mascot, guards the main entrance and the iconic cannon, located in Branion Plaza, is best known for its constantly changing appearance – it’s a campus tradition to paint the cannon on an almost daily basis. The university is constantly ranked highly for providing a comprehensive education that combines traditional academia with experimental learning and cooperative education.

Unique Characteristics
The University consists of seven colleges: Arts, Biological Sciences, Business and Economics, Physical and Engineering Science, Social and Applied Human Sciences, and the Agricultural and Veterinary Colleges. The main campus features a blend of historical and modern architecture.

Location
Located 100 km west of Toronto, Guelph is considered among the best places to live in Canada because of its low crime rate, clean environment and generally high standard of living. The city is best known for its people, its university and its beer, boasting one major and two microbreweries.
