Alberta College of Art & Design (ACAD) is a boutique college with a small student population. It offers a studio-based experience for students studying fine arts, design and new media. It is also a leading centre for education and research and a catalyst for cultural development.
ACAD offers Bachelor of Arts and Fine Arts, including studies in photography, print media, sculpture, art history, ceramics, drawing, animation, visual communication and advertising.
Unique Characteristics
The college has relationships with the Sydney College of the Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and offers both postgraduate and undergraduate studies for international students.
Calgary is the largest city in Alberta, Canada and a business centre. In recent years, it has embarked on a restoration program to restore old buildings and create a friendly downtown area with lively bars, restaurants and cultural events.
