|Program dates||Session 2: July 3 - August 11, 2017
Program end dates impact on Semester 2 2017 lectures (commencing on Monday 31 July 2017). Students must ensure they adhere to their individual attendance requirements for all units of study at the University of Sydney. No special consideration will be given by the faculty for assessment extensions or deferred exams because of their late commencement.

|Credit / Not-for-credit||You will be emailed credit application instructions for your faculty once you have expressed interest in this program with the form linked at the bottom of this page. Please allow 1-2 weeks for this information to be sent through.

|Fees and scholarships||2017 Total Program Fee: Depending on course selection, fee’s are up to US$11,388

Accommodation can be sourced through the University:
Single Room = US$2,020
Double Room =US$1,700
OS-HELP loans may be available to eligible students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place where the program is approved for credit prior to departure. Application required.
There is also the promotional AUD $1000 discount to University of Sydney students who enrol and are accepted before the deadline listed above.
|About the university||Founded in 1754 as King’s College by Royal Charter of King George II of England, Columbia is the oldest university in the state of New York and one of the oldest in the US.
Its main landmark is the Low Memorial Library, which was built in the Roman Classical style and still houses the university’s central administration offices. More than 80 faculty members, adjunct staff and alumni of Columbia have won a Nobel prize since 1901, when the awards were first granted. These include chemist Robert Lefkowitz, economist Joseph Stiglitz and US President Barack Obama, who was given the Peace Prize in 2009.
Columbia has also educated Founding Father of the US Alexander Hamilton, US presidents Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt and actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Katie Holmes and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
