Program description

University of Sydney students have the opportunity to spend 3 weeks of their winter holidays in Geneva, the diplomatic capital of the world.  You will get the opportunity to experience Geneva's dynamic, multicultural and international environment and you will be exposed to world-class expertise with unique networking opportunities.

  • June 26* – July 7 2017 Understanding Islamist Movements

*Program start dates impact on exam period of Semester 1 2017 (commencing on Monday 19 June 2017). Students must ensure the start date does not conflict with their exam timetable. Students must be in Australia for their exams and Students must understand that no special consideration will be given by the faculty for assessment extensions or deferred exams.

You will be emailed credit application instructions for your faculty once you have expressed interest in this program with the form linked at the bottom of this page. Please allow 1-2 weeks for this information to be sent through.

Classes are instructed in English and French

Fees and scholarships

2017 Program fee
Exchange Tuition Waiver
If you receive one of the limited exchange places, you will have the tuition fee waived.
Inclusions: Tuition -  2000 CHF (~ AUD $2620)
Additional costs (not included in program fee): Accommodation, meals, airfare, travel insurance, visa, personal expenses and additional travel.

Study Abroad
If you did not receive one of the exchange places but still wish to attend, you may still secure a spot in the program and will be subject to the fee.
Fee: Tuition - 2000 CHF (~ AUD $2620), Application fee, accommodation, meals, airfare, travel insurance, visa, personal expenses and additional travel.

Scholarship available:  AUD$1,000 (merit-based, application required)

OS-HELP loans may be available to eligible students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place where the program is approved for credit prior to departure. Application required.
